How to update Lifechaser LC31 camera firmware?
NOTE: If your camera current firmware version is GS31org-DA380-20190827-ZXCE, please DO NOT update. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Here is the latest firmware version download link: GS31org-DA380-20200115-ZXF
Then please follow steps to update it:
1. Download the latest firmware file ("FW96660A.bin") via the above link on your computer.
2. Format your sd card on camera before copy the file into it. (Please do not format sd card on computer)
3. Take out sd card from camera and insert it into computer. Copy the file "FW96660A.bin" into the sd card root folder after formatting on camera.
4. Remove sd card from computer and then insert it into camera before power it on.
5. Use the Micro USB cable (the shortest one in the package) and a USB wall adapter to power the camera on. (Please DO NOT use computer to power it on)
6. After power it on, it will automatically update. The screen will stay off but the status light will keep flashing while the firmware updating. It will take up to 1 minute. Just leave it to work about 1 minute. Do nothing while updating.
7. After about 1-minute auto update, the update will be finished and the camera will turn on.
8. Check the version of the camera.
9. 【Important】Format the sd card on camera again. (Indispensable step, need to delete the firmware file "FW96660A.bin". Failure to do this will result in the camera attempting to update the firmware every time it’s powered on.)
NOTE: Please DO NOT use computer to power the camera on.
